Purpose of the Job • To supervise and support the delivery of building services maintenance across a commercial office portfolio • To manage a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on with maintenance activities • To act as the day-to-day point of contact for the client across the City & West End portfolio • To ensure all services are delivered in line with SLAs and contractual requirements Key Responsibilities • Supervise and support a small team of engineers across multiple commercial sites • Carry out hands-on maintenance duties (approximately 50%) • Ensure planned and reactive works are completed to a high standard • Act as the primary client contact on a day-to-day basis • Monitor performance, standards, and compliance across the portfolio • Assist with scheduling, workload management, and engineer support • Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance at all times • Complete reports, documentation, and handovers as required Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills • Proven experience within Building Services / Facilities Management • Previous supervisory or lead engineer experience preferred • Strong technical background (Mechanical or Electrical) • Excellent client-facing and communication skills • Ability to manage engineers while remaining hands-on • Organised, professional, and proactive approach Role Details & Benefits • Salary: Up to £53,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates) • Travel: Zones 1–6 Travelcard provided • Hours: Monday – Friday • Portfolio: Commercial offices – City & West End • Work Split: 50% hands-on / 50% supervisory Accountabilities • Accountable to the Contract Manager • Responsible for the performance and support of a small engineering team • Responsible for maintaining client satisfaction across the portfolio • Responsible for safe working practices and site standards
