Process Engineers at GenPhoenix play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will enable innovation and further development of our state of the art facilities, bringing market-leading environmentally friendly products to an ever expanding customer base.
Responsibilities
* Process Ownership & Optimization: Take ownership of designated processes or areas, continuously improving efficiency, quality, and throughput to meet business objectives.
* Continuous Improvement (CI): Identify and eliminate process waste while embedding robust CI methodologies across operations.
* New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead or support the introduction of new products, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes and alignment with production goals.
* Capability Acquisition (CA): Drive or assist in the introduction/implementation of new technologies to enhance capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.
* Process Control Documentation: Contribute to the development and maintenance of process control tools, including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Control charts, etc.
* Standardization & Compliance: Create, review, and update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure consistency and compliance with Operational and Quality standards.
* Project Management: Proactively identify improvement opportunities on the shop floor and initiate/lead projects with clearly defined scopes, actions, and timelines.
* Performance Monitoring: Support the establishment, tracking, and analysis of production KPIs to drive data-informed decision-making.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Technical, Quality, and other departments to align shopfloor improvements with broader company goals.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
* Likely to have at least 3 years' experience within a Process Engineering environment.
* Problem-Solving Expertise: Proficient in structured problem-solving methodologies, such as Root Cause Analysis, A3, 8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or PDCA.
* Statistical Analysis Skills: Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques; familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical software is a plus.
* Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong grasp of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and continuous improvement practices.
* Process Control & Built-In-Quality Tools: Experience in developing and applying PFMEAs, Control Plans, and conducting process stability and capability studies.
* Experience in the textile industry highly desirable.
