An inspirational Merton primary requires an experienced Reception Teacher to lead Early Years provision from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will design play-based continuous provision, deliver systematic phonics and early number work, and support children’s social and emotional development. The Reception Teacher will prepare provision prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and be teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. • Reception Teacher - Full-Time role available with a January 2026 start. • Reception Teacher to join a nurturing Merton public school - planning and induction begin January 2026. • Reception Teacher will work with an experienced Early Years team and access targeted CPD from January 2026. Reception Teacher Responsibilities The Reception Teacher will: lead daily phonics and story sessions as the Reception Teacher; design indoor and outdoor provision that promotes curiosity and independence as the Reception Teacher; complete accurate assessments against the Early Learning Goals as the Reception Teacher; and communicate progress clearly to families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will also contribute to whole-school Early Years development after January 2026. Reception Teacher Requirements We are seeking a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), strong EYFS knowledge and confident leadership of Early Years practice. The Reception Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, for induction in January 2026, and to start in post from January 2026. Why apply?
