We have an amazing opportunity to become a Personal Assistant to a university student studying Sport and Exercise Science at Southampton Solent.
Salary, Benefits & Hours
Rate of Pay: £180 per day / £1,260 per week
Rota: live in – 7 days on / 7 days off
Location: Southampton Solent University, SO14 0YN
Start Date: ASAP
Free accommodation when on shift. 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.
Our client has Cerebral Palsy which affects her whole body. She is excited to recruit a PA to join her tight‑knit team of PAs who assist her with daily life at university. This client is a huge sports fan and partakes in as many disability sports as possible! She is also an Arsenal fan and loves going to see their home matches.
For this role you must hold a UK Driving Licence as you will be required to drive her Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
Care experience is not required as full training in our client’s particular requirements will be provided.
Duties will include
* Personal care, study and social support;
* Work with the team to ensure information and issues arising during your shift are correctly reported and followed up;
* Assist the student with administration tasks as required;
* Assist in emergency evacuations in halls, if the situation arises, as instructed by the halls manager;
* Encourage the student to engage in clubs/activities and societies;
* Maintain good order, appearance and behaviour;
* Assist the student with the organisation of events and extra‑curricular activities.
About you
* Sporty person with a good sense of humour, calm, patient and caring;
* Great organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative;
* Mature and responsible attitude;
* Great communication skills;
* Fluency in English;
* Clean and tidy in appearance and manners;
* A full clean UK driving licence (essential).
