Overview
Support Worker at Aran Hall School, 52 week residential care with education for children and young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour.
Location and Hours
* Location: North Wales
* Hours: 8am to 10pm, 2 days on, 4 days off rota plus an additional 12 hours in each 6-week period
* Salary: £24,269 - £25,615.80 (weekend bonus included)

Responsibilities
* Be a role model and mentor, playing a key part in supporting young people in the home environment and classroom.
* Support young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour; provide care and educational support.
* Teach life skills such as cooking and cleaning, and provide academic support.
* Be involved in planning activities to suit the interests of the young people (e.g., gaming, local walks, football) and ensure access to a wide range of hobbies.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Passion for working with young people and excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential; training and support are provided.
* Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity; Enhanced DBS disclosure required.

* A bonus payment of £1,500 payable to new care staff (Support Worker grade) who join with a relevant qualification (terms and conditions apply).
