Senior Practitioner – Early Intervention in Psychosis
In this role you will manage your own caseload of up to 20 patients aged 14‑65 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis, providing care planning, safety planning and psychologically informed interventions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence‑based, psychologically informed interventions and case management.
* Carve out comprehensive care plans, incorporating safety planning and collaboration with families and carers.
* Support and supervise the assessment and duty function of the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide specialist assessments for people with first episode psychosis and cooperate with psychiatrists, psychologists, family therapists and other specialists.
* Participate in reflection teams and ongoing training provided by the EIP teams.
* Maintain clinical, managerial and caseload supervision throughout the working week.
* Travel independently throughout the large geographic area that covers Selby, Tadcaster, Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, central York and surrounding areas.
* Receive comprehensive training and professional development support offered by the EIP teams.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker with relevant experience in early intervention psychosis care.
* For nursing applicants, a minimum of 18 months post‑qualifying experience with signed off pre‑ceptorship or competency framework.
* Demonstrated experience in care planning, safety coordination, and delivering psychologically informed interventions.
Location and Travel
Court location in York and Selby; independent travel to the entire service area is required.
