Weare a bed based Rehabilitation, Re-enablement and Recovery unit located inGrimsby. Our multi-disciplinary service consistsof Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Carestaff who all work collaboratively to prevent unnecessary and lengthy stays inhospital or admission into long term care, wherever possible.
Weprovide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery andregain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safelyand with any additional support in place.This could be following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or a significanthealth event.

Main duties of the job
Catering Assistant
Community Inpatient Unit
hours negotiable, Monday to Sunday. You must be able to work flexibly as part of a rota including working weekends and bank holidays.

Salary Range 2£20,702 (under 21) - £22,370 (21 and over)prorata per annum you will be appointed on a fixed salary point within thesalary range.
You will be assisting the Cook to providenutritional, palatable and well-balanced meals for patients/service users in aninpatient unit. Working under directionof the Cook you will be preparing ingredients and cooking meals as well as helpingin the planning and collection of menus and delivery of meals to patients. You will also be responsible for ensuring thecleanliness of all utensils, equipment, work surfaces and kitchen areas at alltimes, in compliance with the Safer Food Better Business Food Management System.
You must have a NVQ Level 2in Catering and be able to demonstrateLiteracy / numeracy skills to Level 2 standard. You will also have experienceof providing meals within a residential setting and of menu planning andportion control.
Ideally weare looking for someone who has completed a food hygiene course and some experience workingwithin a busy kitchen however for the right candidate training can be given.
