A specialist school in Northumberland are looking for additional staff, they have commented that they would like individuals with a calm and nurturing approach. They have recently had success with individuals in school providing additional support from a care/ support background.
To be successful you will need to be able to build a good rapport with pupil’s male and female aged between 2-19 with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) who may display challenging behaviours. The role will involve general support within the classroom, as well the expectation of delivering specialised interventions on 1:1 basis and in small groups. With this expectation relevant training will be provided. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to work 1:1 with specific pupils who may need additional support and nurturing to enhance their learning and development.
* Must hold an enhanced Child and Adult DBS, registered with the update service
* Patient and Reliable
* Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
* Be confident supporting children and young people
* Worked as a Care / Support worker
This role is available after May half term and required until the end of the academic year with the potential of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £13 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
