Social network you want to login/join with: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Medical Officer for the UK & Ireland to join us to oversee all medical assistance activities for the UK scope, including all hub-related cases. AXA Partners' medical team provides medical assistance 24/7/365 to our customers worldwide, and we pride ourselves on delivering the best service. A key part of this role is to develop and oversee a comprehensive framework for medical standards, processes, and protocols to ensure the highest quality of patient care, coordinate the medical staff, and support the company’s medical assistance initiatives. In case of medical assistance escalation, the Chief Medical Officer will manage and propose actions for remediation. This position also oversees the quality of medical staff credentials and abilities, manages internal controls, supports commercial campaigns, and promotes training and team spirit within the medical team. You will be based in our Redhill office and work on a hybrid basis. We work a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Key responsibilities will include: Medical Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement the medical strategy aligned with company goals. Provide leadership on medical issues to the COO and Excom as needed. Stay updated on global medical trends and incorporate relevant practices. Standards and Quality Assurance: Establish high standards of medical care through protocols and case reviews. Oversee quality assurance to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Implement continuous improvement initiatives. Medical Staff Management: Support recruitment, credentialing, and development of medical staff (doctors and nurses). Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. Promote ongoing professional development. International Medical Assistance: Oversee international medical assistance services. Build and maintain relationships with global medical partners. Ensure high-quality services across locations. Develop a network of providers ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Operational Oversight: Supervise daily medical operations for efficiency and quality. Support complex cases. Ensure compliance with policies and standards. Resolve operational issues promptly. Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Lead medical responses to emergencies and crises. Develop response plans and protocols. Coordinate during crises. Commercial and Client Support: Provide medical expertise for campaigns and client engagements. Participate in client meetings, offering insights. Ensure client satisfaction. Training and Development: Oversee training programs for medical staff. Foster a collaborative work environment. Organize workshops and seminars. Candidate profile: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Valid medical license in UK. Specialties: Critical Care, Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine with critical care experience. Knowledge of critical care, emergency medicine, and aeromedical transport. Extensive knowledge of standards, regulations, and best practices. Experience in medical staff management and recruitment. Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Preferred skills: Experience in emergency response and crisis management. Familiarity with international medical assistance and healthcare systems. Multilingual skills are a plus.
