We are currently seeking a ‘Head of Conservation & Engagement’ to join us on a temporary basis covering a period of maternity leave. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team. Managing multiple demands and prioritizing effectivelywill be essential in leadingand inspiring your teamin the development anddelivery of theFCCT’sConservation and Engagement Plan.
Essential characteristics:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
* Management experience or qualification.
* Experience of developing effective multi-agency/partnership working.
* Experience and evidence of effective delegation.
* Project management qualification or experience.
* Experience of leading the development and delivery of strategic documents.
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
* Excellent presentation skills and experience of delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
* Knowledge of relevant technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Suite and online applications.
* Able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of outdoor recreation, environmental conservation issues and the benefits of access to countryside.
* A full UK driving licence or access to a driver if disability prevents driving.
This is a full-time (36 hours per week) post with a contract term of 12-13 months depending on availability of the successful candidate and comes with a salary of £42,686 to £51,302 (FC9) FTE. Work will typically be delivered over a five-day week and may include some evening and weekend work as required.
