About the role
Source Supply are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEND School based Sheffield. This is a temporary to permanent HLTA Class lead (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) position for a Post-16 Class.
This 'Good' rated School by Ofsted caters for Children aged 11 to 19 with Special Educational Needs, including emotional needs, behavioural needs, profound and complex learning difficulties and Autism.
As a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) you will work within Post-16, alongside the department Teacher to plan the learning and wellbeing of all students in the class, you will also be responsible for Teaching a class of students and associated pastoral duties.
This role requires an engaging, proactive, adaptable, resilient, and enthusiastic HLTA with great communication skills and a want to make a difference in young people's lives.
You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach in all they do. The school work tirelessly to make sure each of their pupils achieve their potential within a safe and stimulating environment.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will be/have:
* Have a HLTA qualification or Equivalent (Level 4 or above)
* Experienced in working with Young People with severe and complex Learning Difficulties and ASC
* The ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning
* The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
* Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
* Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle or good transport links as this role is set over 3 different sites within Sheffield.
