Band 5 Prosthetist – Maternity Leave
We are looking for a Band 5 Prosthetist to cover maternity leave until 31 August 2027. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with experienced Prosthetists and develop skills in a specialist prosthetics centre.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality specialist lifelong prosthetics care to patients with amputations or congenital limb loss in a clinical environment.
* Support the multidisciplinary team, deliver evidence‑based care, and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
* Facilitate safe, high‑quality care and ensure prosthetic prescriptions for adults and children following limb loss are suitable and cost‑effective.
* Manage a prosthetic caseload within the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) professional guidelines and standards.
About the Centre
West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre is a tertiary prosthetic centre providing a full range of advice and rehabilitation for all levels of upper and lower limb loss, including paediatric services. The centre also offers an enhanced service to veterans who have lost a limb in the service of their country. Services are delivered at the main centre and at two secondary centres in Wolverhampton and Stoke‑on‑Trent, plus satellite clinics across the region.
