What you'll do
As a Sewerage Operator, you will be part of a team working to maintain our sewerage network to meet quality and customer service standards in accordance with wastewater procedures and work instructions.
You will:
* Work with customers to resolve reactive incidents such as blockages, pollution, and flooding (internal and external).
* Accurately collate and submit feedback information from sites, such as incident forms.
* Ensure your own health and safety, as well as that of your team, contractors, customers, and the public.
* Participate in routine maintenance and reactive work.
Additional details
Because we provide a 24-hour service, you will be on a rota basis, working one week in four, covering 365 days a year. The role involves travel across the north region, including Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, B&NES, and surrounding areas.
What you'll need
You should be customer-focused, a team player, conscientious, and committed to providing high-quality service. You should also:
* Have experience with single-man jetting units and CCTV equipment.
* Possess a QCF in sewerage operations or City & Guilds equivalent, or be willing to undertake certification.
* Be trained in confined space work and Streetworks certification (training can be provided).
* Have basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Hold a valid driving licence; a company vehicle will be provided.
* Be able to work in pressurised environments for 45 hours per week.
