Job Title: Security Officer (Full-Time) Location: Kent, CT1 1 Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Average of 42 hours per week, Days & Nights) Shift time - 07:00 -19:00 or 19:00 -07:00 About the Role City Group is currently seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Kent. As part of a 24/7 operation, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the welfare of residents and maintaining a secure environment at a specialist centre. This role requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, particularly in dealing with vulnerable individuals and multi-agency professionals. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the safety and security of minors residing in the facility. * Monitor access control systems and verify visitor credentials. * Conduct regular patrols to ensure a secure environment. * Work closely with centre-based staff and external stakeholders (e.g., Social Services, Councillors). * Respond promptly to emergencies, acting as Fire Marshal, coordinating evacuations, and liaising with emergency services. * Manage and de-escalate conflicts professionally and safely. * Maintain accurate and timely incident reports and logs.
