Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day

Contract: Full-time, Temporary with potential for permanent role
Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a nurturing and inclusive primary school just off the A58 in Ashton-In-Makerfield, who are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to start immediately.
In this position, you will work closely with class teachers and the school’s SENCO to support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Your role will involve providing targeted 1:1 support, assisting in small group interventions, and helping to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).

Key Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs (in a school or similar setting).
* A calm, positive, and empathetic approach to working with pupils.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour with confidence and care.
