Lead Cloud Platform Engineer
As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the platforms that support our digital services. You’ll help build secure, reliable and scalable cloud solutions that enable our teams to deliver high‑quality care and support to customers. This is a leadership role where you’ll guide technical direction, support colleagues and influence how we develop and operate our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, build and evolution of cloud‑based platforms and infrastructure.
* Set technical direction and support best practices for platform engineering.
* Ensure systems are secure, reliable and scalable.
* Drive automation and continuous improvement of platform services.
* Collaborate with engineering, security and operations teams.
* Support the delivery of applications by providing robust platform capabilities.
* Monitor performance and respond to incidents to maintain service quality.
* Coach and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and guidance.
* Ensure solutions align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
* Expertise in platform engineering, infrastructure and automation.
* Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
* Confidence working with deployment, monitoring and configuration tools.
* Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell or similar.
* Understanding of security, reliability and performance in cloud environments.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
* A proactive, solution‑focused approach.
