Team Leader – Long Meadow Care Home, Ripon
Long Meadow Care Home is a 43-bed residential and dementia care home based in Ripon. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our care team.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will take accountability for leading and supporting the care team during your shift, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered. You will also play a key role in developing and supporting your colleagues to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the care team while on shift.
* Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
* Complete pre-admission assessments for prospective residents and oversee the full admission process.
* Write, maintain, and review care plans in line with residents' changing needs.
* Carry out "Resident of the Day" reviews.
* Lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and high-quality care standards.
* Complete staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals to support development and performance.
* Work closely with healthcare professionals and external agencies on a daily basis.
* Ensure compliance with care home policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a residential or dementia care setting.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
* Confident in medication administration.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Compassionate, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent care.
* Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.

Pay: £13.06 per hour
