Recently Qualified Vehicle Mechanic required in Petersfield, Hampshire
Pay: £28,000 with regular pay reviews as you skill up and develop your mechanical knowledge
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday with breaks, plus Saturday mornings on a rotational basis
Our client is a leading automotive service provider dedicated to delivering top-quality vehicle repair and maintenance services. They are looking to add a Recently Qualified Vehicle Mechanic to their vehicle workshop team.
Responsibilities
* Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and diagnosing mechanical issues.
* Performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
* Effectively using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
* Assisting senior mechanics with complex repair tasks.
* Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Keeping accurate records of repairs and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
* Recently qualified as a vehicle mechanic or have completed an accredited automotive mechanical qualification such as light vehicle maintenance and repair NVQs, City & Guilds, IMI, etc.
* A strong passion for automotive repair and a desire to learn and grow in the workshop.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
* Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
