Quality Engineer
Location: Bournemouth Area
Salary: £47,000 + Benefits
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Bournemouth area, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure products meet internal and external quality requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and maintain the company's quality management systems and processes.
* Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Conduct internal audits and support external customer and certification audits.
* Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
* Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate resolution activities.
* Support customer quality requirements and assist with customer complaint investigations.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Specialist, or similar role.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality tools.
* Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
* HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Package
* Salary of £47,000
* 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
* 4.5-day working week (37 hours)
