Our client is a well established manufacturing business looking to appoint a quality control inspector due to a period of continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication and welding background who has moved away from the tools or is looking to transition into a quality-focused role. If you've spent years in fabrication, welding, or heavy engineering environments and can confidently identify what "good" looks like from both a workmanship and compliance perspective, this role could be a natural next step. The Role Carry out dimensional, visual, and documented inspections of fabricated and welded components. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to ensure compliance. Conduct in-process and final inspections across manufacturing operations. Identify non-conformances and work closely with production teams to implement corrective actions. Complete inspection reports, quality records, and associated documentation accurately. Verify welding quality, fabrication standards, and overall workmanship. Support root cause investigations relating to quality issues and customer complaints. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes. Liaise with production, engineering, and management teams to maintain quality standards.
