Principal Product Manager - Data & Extensibility
Join Samsara as a Principal Product Manager to drive data and extensibility outcomes across our Connected Operations™ Cloud, focused on IoT data to improve operations in industries such as agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
About the role
As a lead product manager, you will champion Samsara’s cultural principles, build and scale global product solutions, and own product direction for data and extensibility features, working closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
* Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high‑performing product team.
* Define product strategy and roadmap for data and extensibility initiatives, working with cross‑functional partners to ensure product quality and impact.
* Drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, iterating based on data‑driven insights and user feedback.
* Advocate for the customer voice in data‑driven decision making and ensure product success metrics are met.
Minimum Requirements
* 10+ years of product management experience in technology or IoT domain.
* Proven track record delivering large‑scale, data‑centric products.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Experience building and leading diverse product teams.
* Comfort with remote and hybrid work environments.
Compensation Philosophy
Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver total direct compensation at or above market. The base salary ranges from $1—$2 USD for full‑time employees, with additional bonuses, variable pay, and restricted stock unit awards (RSUs). Equity refresh awards may be granted at hire and annually.
