Gardener Location Fareham Salary - £28,000 - £31,000/annum (FTE) Full or Part Time 5 or 4 days/week We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring that gardens and green spaces are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills in a professional environment. Responsibilities Maintaining grassed areas, weeding and tidying gardens. Outdoor furniture sanding and re-sealing. Organising planting schedules depending on the season. Making hanging baskets and watering. Lawn scarifying and re-seeding. Weed control around pebbled areas and pathway weeding and maintenance. Pond maintenance including water flow, de-weeding and feeding fish. Pruning and hedge trimming. Sourcing and collecting plants from local nurseries Budget for plants/seeds/pots/hanging baskets. Operating garden machinery such a strimmers, mowers, hedge trimmers Decking work (preferred but not essential) Requirements Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment Growing experience with a solid understanding of horticulture principles Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and garden design fundamentals Strong gardening skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately A genuine interest in gardening and landscape care is essential Please note that a DBS will be required for this role and the cost will be covered by the company This position is suitable for individuals who are organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about working outdoors to create beautiful green spaces.
