About The Role
The Safety Management System (SMS) Manager provides support to the CMM, including but not limited to management of the SMS. Duties include conducting audits to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures, and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the Company SMS
* Generation of Safety Action Group (SAG) material and hosting meetings
* Assisting AM in creating and presenting Safety Review Board (SRB) slide-packs
* Assisting with the production and implementation of the Part 145 audit programme
* Assisting with control of the company authorisation system
* Management of company SMS
* Conducting Safety Investigations as required
* Daily administration and monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System
* Monitoring and providing feedback on the safety performance of the organisation
* Reporting any findings or concerns to the CMM / Accountable Manager / NP’s
Candidate Requirements
* Experienced and competent investigator
* Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and their practical application
* Practical experience in a Part 145 environment
* Current safety training (including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) and Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS)
* Passport enabling travel as required by the employer
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Eligibility to qualify for and hold a UK airside security pass
* Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and related applications
Preferred Training
* Qualified auditor experienced in an aviation environment
* Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements
