We are looking for a General Foreman to manage construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. You’ll coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, lead site teams, and keep projects on track. The project is a £13 million highways project consisting of junction improvements, drainage and resurfacing in Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate site works to meet safety, quality, and environmental objectives.
* Implement Health, Safety & Environmental plans and maintain welfare standards.
* Develop daily site plans and manage resources effectively.
* Monitor productivity, costs, and budgets, taking corrective action where needed.
* Ensure compliance with quality procedures and carry out regular inspections.
* Engage with designers and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges.
* Support carbon reduction and sustainability targets.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in site management within construction.
* Knowledge of HS&E legislation and quality standards.
* Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
* Good IT skills and familiarity with site reporting systems.
* Commercial awareness and ability to monitor costs and resources.
* CSCS and SMSTS are required
