We are seeking a motivated and personable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will require excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product information, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products
* Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries effectively
* Upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
* Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
* Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and process payments efficiently
* Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and organise merchandise for optimal presentation
* Utilise phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or email
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills by keeping the sales area tidy and well-stocked
Experience
* Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is essential - detailed training of computer software will be provided
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock counts
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
* Organisational skills to maintain an orderly sales environment and manage stock levels effectively
