JOB TITLE: Minister of Religion (Youth Pastor)
Accountable To:
Director of Board of Trustees or His representative.
Main Purpose of the Post:
Preaching, Teaching, and Pastoral work of the Minister of Religion.
Job Description
Primary Function:
To lead the church youths to grow larger by providing kingdom leadership training.
General Function:
To work with and under the direction of the senior pastor as a member of the pastoral team to enable the church youths to focus on the Great Commission and to equip the church youths to carry out the five functions of the New Testament church: evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
Responsibilities
1. To lead members of the church to a deeper commitment of personal evangelism; officiating Holy Communion service, Christening, Baptism for new youths converts.
2. To oversee and direct the ministries of the church youths, including but not limited to: The Sunday School, Outreach, Special Evangelism Events, Missions, Ministering.
3. The applicant should be able to preach the word of God and deliver sermons to the youth in a simple language.
4. To coordinate with the senior pastor and leadership team to plan and implement a comprehensive outreach ministry for the congregation to reach people of all ages with Christian love, healing, and street missions.
5. The applicant must be able to train and develop youths to grow in the word of God and counsel them about daily living.
6. To lead the youth in organizing outreach activities and reaching out to youth in the community.
7. The applicant should have knowledge of how to deal with youth in the modern age.
8. To set goals for youth growth in faith and numbers, and for fellowship.
9. To organize training sessions for youth development and support.
10. To lead the youth in various church services.
11. Engage with other ministers to carry out membership care programs, including plans for devotional growth and distribution of materials.
12. To accept additional duties as directed by management.
