Graduate Civil Engineer – 2025 Development Programme - Norwich

Our Infrastructure team is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team on the A47 Thickthorn Junction Norwich, Norfolk.
Here, we are working to improve the junction between the A47 and the A11 near Norwich by adding two new connections to ease congestion in the area.
What you'll do:
* Plan and produce methodologies for mobilising and setting up sections of work.
* Utilise surveying skills to set out details for construction.
* Work with subcontractors to ensure the timely preparation and implementation of Risk Assessments & Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans, Permits & Consents.
* Site coordination and logistical planning to enable works to be carried out safely.
* Identify the needs for temporary works and complete temporary work designs working with the temporary works team.
* Maintain a high standard of Quality Control and Quality Assurance records, including managing Non-Conformance Reports and Early Warning Notices.
* Produce accurate and detailed daily diaries for your work areas.
* Work collaboratively with enabling teams, for example in Traffic Management, Earthworks, Utilities, and Community Relations.
* Complete environmental risk assessments for works and assist in managing works activities in an ecologically sensitive manner.
What you'll bring to the role:
* You are in your final year of achieving an ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering, or have recently graduated.
* Enthusiastic about learning, personal and professional growth.
* Able to interpret drawings and implement efficient planning services for the business.
* Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
* You have a strong interest in innovation, sustainability, and making a positive impact.
* You work collaboratively towards shared goals and targets.
* You are motivated to work in a site-based environment, initially on a highway project.
* This role requires visits to sites. We expect you to have a driving license or work towards obtaining one within your first year with us.
