Role Responsibilities As a Premises Officer, your responsibilities will include: Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds. Supporting the setup and breakdown of school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and security procedures. Assisting with contractors, suppliers, and staff to ensure facilities operate efficiently. Managing inventory of consumables and maintenance equipment, reporting replenishment requirements. Performing minor maintenance tasks and assisting with larger repair projects where necessary. Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a premises, caretaker, or facilities role, ideally in a school setting. Practical skills in general maintenance, DIY, or building management. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices. Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
