Behaviour Mentor - What the School Offers

Behaviour Mentor - What the Role Involves

* Providing targeted 1:1 and small‑group mentoring support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
* Working proactively with teachers, the SENDCO, and the pastoral team to implement and review individual behaviour plans
* Supporting pupils through de‑escalation, restorative conversations, and reintegration following exclusions or incidents
* Maintaining detailed records of pupil interactions, progress, and behaviour patterns to inform wider school support strategies
* Building consistent, trusted relationships with pupils and families that underpin long‑term positive change


Behaviour Mentor - What the School is Looking For

The ideal Behaviour Mentor will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous child‑centred experience working with young people with behavioural or emotional needs in a UK school or educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a calm, resilient, and determined Behaviour Mentor with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to helping young people turn a corner.

Behaviour Mentor - Salary and Contract Info

* £444 per week, pro rata to term time only
* Full‑time, long‑term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
* Term‑time only
* Potential for extended contracts or further development pathways following a successful placement
