An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term, part time Quality Improvement Project Nurse in to join this dynamic, high profile, busy Bart’s Cancer Centre team. The Improvement Project Manager will support the Senior Nurse, Clinical Director and General Manger in delivering a programme of project management and quality improvement within the Cancer Assessment Unit (CAU) at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. They will be responsible for:
·Working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for quality improvement
·Develop project plans with clear objectives and measurable KPIs
·Co-ordinating and monitoring projects and escalating risks/issues
·Analysing and presenting complex information, often to large groups.
Providing reports to internal and external stakeholders on the progress of the project
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse or AHP with a proven track record of delivering QI or Service Development projects within an acute healthcare setting. This role requires a highly motivated individual with demonstratable leadership, project management and problem-solving skills. The post holder will need to possess the ability to:

·identify and manage risks
·engage stakeholders and resolve conflict
This position is for 15 hours a week and is open to internal applicants only.
