Position: High Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Bilborough
Job Type: Full-time
Year Group: KS2 - needs to be able to step up and teach if the teacher is unavailable and take small groups for intervention.
We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant to join a lovely inner city school and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with classroom teachers and special education professionals to support students with challenging behaviour.
2. Implement behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address individual student needs.
3. Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with behavioural challenges.
4. Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
6. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
1. A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field.
2. Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
3. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
6. A commitment to promoting a positive school culture.
