Senior Estimator – Super-Prime Residential Projects

They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their London team and lead the estimating function for their prestigious developments.
Role Overview
The Senior Estimator will play a key role in the preconstruction process, producing accurate, competitive, and commercially viable cost estimates for high-value projects. This includes managing tender submissions, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and providing insight to support strategic decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, senior professional to influence project outcomes and contribute to the growth of a premium London division.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Tender Management
* Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for high-value residential projects.
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing information.
* Prepare, submit, and present tender proposals in line with company standards and deadlines.
* Analyse project costs, risks, and profitability, providing recommendations to senior management.
* Maintain and enhance estimating systems, templates, and processes.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimating staff where required.
Preconstruction Collaboration
* Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure estimates reflect project objectives.
* Contribute to value engineering and cost control initiatives.
* Support commercial decision-making during preconstruction.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
* Implement best practices within the estimating function.
* Produce reports and insights to support pipeline planning and strategic growth.
Candidate Profile
* Extensive experience as a Senior Estimator within high-end residential or super-prime construction projects.
* Proven ability to deliver accurate, competitive estimates and manage tender submissions.
* Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
