Classroom Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Fulwood, PrestonStart Date: September 2026Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (initially until December 2026, with potential extension)Pay Rate: £14.25 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm
The Role
We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Classroom Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school based in Fulwood, Preston. This full-time role involves providing general classroom support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping pupils to engage with learning and reach their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers to support whole-class learning as well as small group and occasional 1:1 support where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 within the classroom environment
* Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
* Provide small group and individual support to reinforce learning
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive engagement
* Support the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working in a school or classroom setting is desirable
* Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
