GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy supporting pupils in a structured classroom environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
* Ensure pupils remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
* Provide guidance and support to pupils as they complete set work.
* Report any issues or progress to teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Requirements for the role of Cover Supervisor:
* Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour calmly and confidently.
* A genuine interest in supporting pupil learning and development.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
