Role Title: Senior Commercial Marketing Manager

Department: Market Engagement

Reports to: CEO

Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Hours per week: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Fully Remote


The Senior Commercial Marketing Manager will be experienced and bring strategic vision to shape and lead the commercial marketing strategy across our product portfolio. Acting as the key link between product innovation and the commercial team, this role plays a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the needs of the customers and are positioned for long-term success.


The Senior Commercial Marketing Manager will take ownership of the end-to-end marketing strategy for core product ranges—from defining value propositions and pricing strategies, launch plan strategies and shaping the roadmap, through to creating compelling messaging and driving impactful launches. Your insight into the customer landscape will be critical in ensuring our approach to pricing, placement, and promotion resonates with key decision-makers such as medicines management teams, pharmacists, and commissioners.


Key Responsibilities


1 Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

* Lead the product marketing strategy across the lifecycle, from concept through to launch.
* Define market requirements and work closely with R&D and Innovation to ensure new products align with customer priorities and opportunities.
* Ensure consistency in branding and design across the portfolio, building a strong and recognisable identity.
* Ensuring IP and TM are implemented, retained and actioned appropriately
1. 2 Messaging & Thought Leadership

* Develop a clear, evidence-based value proposition and messaging framework for the portfolio, ensuring claims are substantiated and compliant.
* Adapt messaging to different customer audiences, from a national level to regional medicines management teams.
* Working with CRM to drive thought-leadership initiatives that position AYMES as a trusted voice in clinical nutrition.


3 Marketing Mix Strategy

* Product: Translate clinical features into customer benefits, defining positioning within the competitive landscape.
* Price: Recommend pricing strategies that reflect product value, support formulary inclusion, and align with customer procurement requirements.
* Place: Shape the channel strategy and work with CRM to optimise product access across customer and regions.
* Promotion: Lead the overarching engagement and launch plans for priority audiences, briefing CRM on core messages and target segments.


4 Launch & Engagement Planning

* Deliver integrated launch plans for new products, ensuring cross-functional alignment and maximum market impact.
* Develop targeted engagement strategies for national and regional decision-makers to secure formulary adoption and positive guidance.


5 Reporting Responsibilities

* Produce quarterly strategic roadmap updates showing initiative status, priorities, and dependencies.
* Deliver market, competitor, and customer insight reports to identify opportunities and emerging trends.
* Create executive briefings and decision memos that translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
* Track ROI and strategic KPI achievement for long-term initiatives.
* Summarise outcomes and provide guidance on initiatives.


Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills

* Essential: Degree level qualification: Business/Commerce (BBA/BCom), Economics, Finance, or Marketing.
* Not essential but in addition (nice to have): MBA - Strategy/Management/Analytics
* Minimum 5years in a Senior Commercial and Product Marketing Manager role
* Proven Team management experience
* Substantial experience in product marketing, strategic marketing, or portfolio management within the UK healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sector.
* In-depth knowledge of the NHS and its decision-making structures.
* Proven ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that deliver measurable impact.
* Strong background in creating value propositions and messaging for healthcare audiences.
* Experience in influencing product development and managing products across their lifecycle.
* Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work across R&D, Commercial, and Regulatory teams.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, clinical evidence, and competitor insights.
* Highly commercial, with the ability to develop new ways to drive revenue and increase profits.
* IT literate across all Microsoft 365 platforms including TEAMS
* Ability to work and thrive in a fully remote environment
* Entrepreneurial mindset
