Join KLEEMANN UK GROUP, a global leader in the lift and elevator industry, as we continue to deliver excellence in vertical transportation. We are looking for a driven and technically-minded Sales Engineer to grow our business across the UK.
Scope of the Role
As Sales Engineer, you will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive sales of lift and modernisation solutions. Working closely with clients, engineering teams, and the wider commercial function, you will own the full sales lifecycle — from initial lead through to contract close.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Generate and follow up on leads within your assigned region or segment
* Conduct site surveys and develop tailored technical solutions for new installations and modernisations
* Prepare cost estimates, quotes, and tender responses with accurate technical detail
* Deliver client presentations and negotiate contract terms in coordination with the commercial team
* Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure solution feasibility
* Keep the CRM updated with pipeline activity and customer intelligence
Additional Responsibilities
* Support marketing campaigns and attend trade events as required
* Assist with handover to the project team following deal closure
* Track competitor activity and market trends to sharpen proposals
Skills & Experience
* Background in sales or technical roles within lifts, construction, or B2B systems
* Strong solution selling and bid development capability
* Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
Qualifications
* Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical) or HND in a related technical field
* Technical sales or lift industry training (desirable)
* Fluent English; CRM proficiency (e.g. Salesforce), MS Office, CAD tools (preferred)
