Description Overview: The Director, Head of Debt Issuer Services is a key leadership role, reporting to the MD Corporate Markets Europe and will be based on a hybrid basis from either our central London office, or our city centre office in Leeds. This means you’ll need to be within a commutable distance to enable you to be in the office with your colleagues each week. The role holder will lead and support the team who execute bondholder identification assignments and complex bond transactions as they support investment banks, law firms and restructuring advisors, with an emphasis on Bond ID’s, liability management and debt restructuring, working with international corporate and sovereign debt issuers. The Director will provide leadership, mentorship and direction to the team, building and shaping the D.F. King Debt Intelligence strategy, ensuring we deliver a great client experience and successfully deliver all projects. Your key deliverables will be: Strategic Focus : • To build and shape the D.F. King Debt Intelligence strategy, ensuring everyone is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience • Ensure successful delivery of all projects from due diligence through to completion • Identifying and executing initiatives that will drive standardisation with the focus being improved customer experience and driving efficiencies • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with existing clients, upselling when opportunities arise • Build strategic external relationships with industry bodies, regulators and partners to help inform future project development and drive growth Operational Management: • Head the Bond Identification offerings and related services, including standalone identifications, pre-transaction exercises and SEC Look-through projects • Manage all parts of the Debt Intelligence offering, including the management of financial performance (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing), workflow of the team and ongoing departmental performance • Ensure an in-depth understanding of DCM and debt intelligence, working closely with bond issuers, investment banks, financial advisors and law firms • Liaise with Central Securities Depositories (CSD’s) including Euroclear, Clearstream, DTC, Common Depositaries, custodian banks and institutional investors • Lead on research and analysis for clients within extremely tight deadlines • Employ a consistent, proactive approach and use in-depth knowledge of DCM operations to improve and add value • Oversea thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers, industry reports and webinars, driving strategies to strengthen relationships with clients and stakeholders People Leadership: • Provide leadership, mentorship and direction, enabling the growth of a high-performing team • Drive increased employee engagement, promoting a culture that values learning and a commitment to quality Governance & Risk: • Be at the forefront of any compliance trends and regulatory changes that may have an impact on the Debt Intelligence team and wider D.F.
