We are seeking a dedicated Operations Manager, who will hold the Registered Manager title, to inspire and lead our Care team, ensuring high-quality outcomes for young people while fostering a supportive and safe environment. You will manage 12 Ofsted-registered Children's Home (with multiple house management on one site). All houses can access a wide range of facilities for across the main Prior’s Court site.

About the Operations Manager role
As the Operations Manager (Registered Manager), you will play a central role in the leadership of our residential care services. You will lead a team of Care Managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, safeguarding, and education outcomes for young people in our care. You will work closely with the team and Director of Care to ensure the successful implementation of Ofsted requirements, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
You will oversee the management of day-to-day operations, ensuring staff coverage, casework, risk management, and safeguarding policies are consistently adhered to. Your leadership will help drive our strategic goals, ensuring young people receive the care, support, and educational opportunities they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hold Registered Manager status
2. Lead and inspire our team of Care Managers, ensuring they deliver high-quality care, safeguarding, and learning outcomes for all young people.
3. Ensure compliance with standards and .
4. Oversee the implementation of individual care plans, including "This Is Me" and skill development plans, ensuring progress is tracked and outcomes are met.
5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring and developing the care team through regular performance reviews and training.
6. Collaborate with our Education teams to ensure integrated care and learning programmes, using autism tools and techniques.
7. Take a lead role in safeguarding, including acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
8. Contribute to the development of the strategic direction for residential services and support the team with continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
9. Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent (required).
10. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management of a team, ideally within a care setting.
11. Experience as a Registered Manager for is essential.
12. Strong background in providing care to autistic young people with complex needs and learning disabilities.
13. Trained in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, with experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
