We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school setting in Christchurch, starting in April. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and are looking to gain or build on their experience in education.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and develop key skills. You will work alongside teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
* Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Helping to adapt resources to meet individual needs
* Working collaboratively with school staff
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or in a support role (desirable)
* A patient and supportive approach
* Good communication skills
* A willingness to learn and develop
