Role: Transport Coordinator
Salary / Rate: £38,000 - £42,000

Key Responsibilities of the Transport Coordinator:
Coordinate daily vehicle movements, including deliveries, collections, and inter-site part movements
Liaise with drivers, vehicle movement companies, and internal departments
Track vehicle movements and communicate delivery progress or delays to stakeholders
Assist with route planning to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, mileage, fuel usage, and condition reports
Process delivery notes, vehicle handover documentation, and proof of delivery
Update transport and fleet management systems with accurate data
Prepare reports relating to vehicle movements, costs, and transport performance
Support compliance with UK transport legislation, including DVSA and DVLA requirements
Maintain fleet compliance records including MOTs, servicing, tax, insurance, and inspections
Assist with monitoring driver licences, CPC records, and working hours for in-house drivers
Support accident, damage, and incident reporting procedures
Provide administrative support to the Transport Manager and wider operations team
Requirements of a Transport Coordinator
Previous administrative experience, ideally within automotive, transport, or logistics environments
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Experience within automotive logistics, vehicle movements, or fleet administration is desirable
Knowledge of UK transport regulations and vehicle compliance is advantageous
Experience using transport or fleet management systems is beneficial
Hours & Pay:
Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:15 Friday 07:00 to 15:30
This is a temporary position for 6 months, made into a permanent position after.
