The post holder will provide excellent customer service via telephone, email, and in person with trust colleagues, external candidates, and on occasion patients to advise on training requirements, book training, and help answer resuscitation-related queries or refer to one of the Resuscitation Officers.
The post holder will manage the day-to-day administration workload and facilities of the department, including answering the telephone, responding to emails, arranging meetings, taking minutes, booking training rooms, stock management, and ordering. They will also manage the diary of the Resuscitation Department and Resuscitation Lead, maintain and manage candidate bookings for resuscitation courses, and prepare and distribute course materials promptly.
The Post holder will be responsible for data entry and record keeping of staff training using the Learning Lab system, including creating courses, booking staff, updating registers, and generating reports to monitor compliance. They will utilize Microsoft Office to produce reports, documents, and audit information, and undertake audits and work to maintain the department’s health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to handle enquiries from internal and external agencies via phone, email, and face-to-face, prioritizing responses to ensure high-quality service.
2. Ensure all enquiries are addressed professionally and efficiently.
3. Respond sensitively to situations involving upset or distressed candidates, patients, or relatives discussing resuscitation or ReSPECT/DNACPR.
4. Refer to the training needs analysis to ensure colleagues are booked on appropriate resuscitation courses.
5. Use computerized course booking systems to input data, record attendance, and provide accurate attendance reports.
