About the role
You will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role, with the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.
We currently have an opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Childcare Disability Team to provide a service to disabled children and their families from the point of referral through to transition support. The role includes work with Children in Need of a Care and Support Plan, Care Experienced Children, Child Protection, and Court work.
Responsibilities
* Provide a service to disabled children and their families from referral through to transition support.
* Engage with Children in Need of a Care and Support Plan, Care Experienced Children, and Child Protection/Court work as required.
* Collaborate with a team of experienced Social Workers, Practice Support Workers, Portage Workers and Administrative Support.
* Utilise established management structures and participate in regular supervision (minimum every 28 days).
* Access training and development opportunities to support ongoing learning.
* Promote flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
About you
* Recent experience of direct work with children and families.
* A recognised qualification in Social Work.
* Registration with Social Care Wales.
