Our client, a large contractor with long-term projects, is currently seeking a PTS Senior Site Engineer/Sub-Agent to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves overseeing construction work and managing site activities within the rail sector in and around Bristol, with potential work in Swindon. This three-month contract has the potential to extend based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing construction work and ensuring project specifications are met
Leading the engineering function and managing site activities
Supervising site personnel and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Conducting geotechnical works with a focus on soil nailing
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders
Reporting on project progress and site conditions
Adhering to rail infrastructure standards and regulations
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements
Job Requirements:
Experience in site engineering within the rail sector
Proficiency in geotechnical works, especially soil nailing (preferred)
Possession of a valid PTS/Sentinel card
Engineering qualification
SSSTS or SMSTS certification
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
