Description
* Manage the financial reporting and reconciliation of capital projects and fixed assets.
* Prepare accurate and timely capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Provide detailed analysis and insights on capital spending and variances.
* Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors as needed.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Assist in the implementation of process improvements for capital accounting functions.
Profile
A Successful Capital Accountant Should Have
* A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
* Experience gained in Estates, Housing Associations or Construction would be ideal.
* Strong experience in capital accounting or financial reporting.
* Proven knowledge of fixed asset management and capital expenditure processes.
* An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
