Yaniv Edery Gallery is a new and exciting cultural destination in Edinburgh, combining contemporary art, luxury hospitality, and high-end events. The venue showcases Yaniv Ederys work while operating as a premium events and networking space, supported by a bar and four bedrooms.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager - Gallery & Art Sales to lead the artistic, sales, and client-facing functions of the gallery.
Operating at General Manager level, this role is jointly responsible for the commercial success of the venue and works in equal partnership with the General Manager - Hospitality & Events.
The role focuses on art sales, exhibitions, collector relationships and brand representation, ensuring the gallery establishes itself as a leading contemporary art destination in Edinburgh and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow all art sales activities, including private sales, exhibitions and commissions
Build and manage strong relationships with collectors, VIP clients, advisors, and corporate buyers
Plan and oversee exhibitions of Yaniv Ederys work in collaboration with ownership and marketing
Drive sales strategy, pricing, targets, and revenue forecasting
Host and attend private views, collector events, and art-led networking functions
Act as a key brand ambassador for the gallery locally and internationally
Work closely with the Head of Marketing on campaigns, launches, and visibility
Maintain accurate sales records, client databases, and reporting
Ensure an exceptional client experience aligned with the gallerys luxury positioning
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in art sales, gallery management, or luxury client-facing roles
Strong commercial acumen with a passion for contemporary art
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Confident working with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients
Polished, professional, and highly organised
Flexible availability to support events and exhibitions
