Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and driven Design & Technology Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in the Smethwick area. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-resourced department and bring practical, hands-on learning to life for students who are eager to engage in creative and technical challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in line with the national curriculum
* Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that promote problem-solving, creativity and independent thinking
* Prepare students for assessments and project-based coursework, supporting their progress and attainment
* Manage and maintain a safe learning environment in line with health and safety guidelines
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, share resources and drive department success
* Support extracurricular projects or clubs related to DT or STEM
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school
* Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils
* A proactive approach to planning and a passion for delivering practical learning experiences
* A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the welfare of all students
