The Opportunity
Were looking for an inspiring Associate Lecturer in ESOL to join our talent pool and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching. This role involves supporting a specified module or modules, including the preparation and delivery of lectures, workshops, and practical sessions.
This is a zero-hours contract with regular working hours to be confirmed at interview. This is a temporary post until the 31st December 2026.
What Youll Be Doing
* Delivering scheduled teaching and learning sessions
* Preparing high-quality learning materials
* Designing and marking assessments, alongside moderation duties
* Contributing to curriculum design and continuous quality improvement
* Providing student support and supervising independent study
* Attending programme and team meetings
* Participating in CPD activities to enhance your practice
* Supporting student monitoring, reporting, course review and evaluation
* Taking part in quality assurance processes
As the college evolves, responsibilities may develop in line with our strategic goals.
Cross-College Contributions
* Participating in cross-college projects, working groups and committees
* Preparing and presenting papers as needed
* Acting as a positive role model for colleagues, demonstrating the Colleges FREDIE+ values (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement)
Student-Focused Responsibilities
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students through robust Safeguarding practices
* Supporting key college events such as open days, enrolment and exam periods

What We Offer
Hourly rate: £13.45 - £20.52 per hour, depending on duties peformed.
