HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and colleagues.
The role involves ensuring our residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections and maintenance. Responsibilities include carrying out audits, updating records, replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, and putting up wallpaper, all with kindness and professionalism.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the appropriate steps to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
