Overview
Network Engineer – Hereford. Salary up to £42,000.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Monitor and resolve satellite network incidents.
* Provide 2nd/3rd line support for satellite and IP networks.
* Troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.
* Coordinate with customers, engineers, and satellite providers.
* Configure and test VSAT terminals and network equipment.
* Provide remote and on-site technical support.
* Produce technical and incident reports.
* Support VSAT installation and commissioning globally.
Experience Required
* Experience in a NOC/NMC or technical support environment.
* Solid knowledge of IP networking (routing, switching, WAN/LAN, firewalls).
* Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VSAT/satellite systems.
* Knowledge of satellite communications (VSAT, RF, GEO/LEO).
* Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
* Ability to document incidents and technical procedures clearly.
* Background in telecommunications or electronics (desirable).
* Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent experience (desirable).
* Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and AWS (desirable).
* Familiarity with automation or scripting (desirable).

This role is office based in Hereford - Commutable from nearby locations such as Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Worcester.
