1:1 Teaching Assistant

Contract: Term-Time, Full-Time
Rate of Pay: From £13.75 to £15 per hour
About the Role
We are delighted at Teaching Personnel to be seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 behaviour support for a Year 3 pupil. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child’s educational journey. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the pupil’s emotional, social, and academic development, while also gaining valuable experience to strengthen their professional skills and future career prospects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 behaviour support to a Year 3 pupil, tailored to their individual needs and development.
* Work collaboratively with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent, effective support strategies.
* Encourage positive learning and social interactions to help build the pupil’s confidence and independence.
* Support the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapting activities to meet the pupil’s specific needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote holistic development and ensure an inclusive learning environment.

What are we looking for:
* Experience in similar roles such as support work with children.
* Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
* An understanding, patient and child-focused approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Minimum Qualification of GSCE C grade or Equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
